it most prob would but for a single iso at a time... that would mean i would have to do one of two things...
1) manually go to my computer and mount the iso that i want to watch every time i want to watch a movie... kinda defeats the point then as i cant just quickly select what i want to watch so this really is not an option.. (think if your in bed, its cold out and you have to trundle down to you computer room, not gonna happen)
2) have every single one of the iso files mounted at the same time... which is impractical so therfore not really an option either
i personally use vlc to play iso files on my pc without mounting them on daemon, only time i use it is for program isos
i would preferably want to have access to my entire dvd library at the same time with minimal interaction, especially considering im setting tversity up for internet streaming while im not at home (if im bored at uni etc)
the program dvdshrink is able to detect the main movie of a dvd so would it be possible for tversity to open the iso, detect the main movie and stream that??
i know there are a few people who are after the full dvd experience but this would be a start at least
im sure there are a lot impracticalities to create a full dvd experience with menu operations within a streaming environment, particularly if your streaming to a game console as these would not give you the option of pressing anything within the video stream (as far as im aware). So i can almost certainly say i wont get that experience with my xbox 360 but im sure it would be possible to just stream the main movie and maybe down the line have tversity detect what is connecting to it and deliver accordingly, so HTPC gets full dvd experince, console get only main movie etc
does that sound reasonable?
been searching around a fair bit and this has been asked about multiple times... heres some links i found
