I could really use some assistance - hopefully someone here can help!
TVersity: 1.9.3 (Free Edition)
The background: I'm looking to use TVersity / SXMStreamer to stream XM to a TMO Blackberry 9780.
I had everything working, on a Win XP Pro system, but it died so I am re-installing on a Win 7 box.
I can successfully stream music to the BB from TVersity.
(Indexed the catalog, set up ports on my router, installed ffdshow, browsed to TVersity from my BB, browsed & played music)
I can manually listen to XM stations using the built in player om SXMS
Note: in order for that to work, SXMS has to be set to HTTP / ASX - if these are not selected then the player hangs at the "loading.." screen
Here are the SXMS settings:
- Use XMRO credentials
- Protocol: http Format: ASX
- Listening IP: 192.168.105.8 (the IP address of the box where SXMS / Tversity is deployed)
- Listening Port: 19081
- Use "Tversity for Transcoding", "Enable mms redirect for NSPlayer User agents" and "Use low bandwidth streams' are all UNchecked
I start up SXMS, and perform a manual "refresh channels" to get the correct (reduced) XM lineup to appear in SXMS
I then go to TVersity, and manually add the RSS feed:
Library->Audio RSS Feed->Copy URL (ASX):
Audio RSS: http://192.168.105.8:19081/xm/feed?cate ... format=asx
I hit 'submit' and get a 'success' message - when I look at SXMS, I can see it sequentially servicing a bunch of ASX requests:
1:20 PM: Retrieving ASX for channel 'XM 167 - ReachMD'...
1:20 PM: Completed request from '192.168.105.8:50941'.
On my BB, I can navigate to the "Internet, RSS and Podcasts" link, below which I see my new set of feeds.
Clicking on that link brings up a list of channels (88 or so)
I try "Howard 100":
Clicking on that link (on my BB) causes a "404 Not Found" to be displayed.
On TVersity, I see:
Started Streaming "XM 100 - Howard 100" to "Blackberry"
Error - Could not get file size for http://192.168.105.8:19081/xm?channel=100&format=asx
Note that if I use the browser interface to TVersity from my local PC
(ie Use Firefox to browse to http://192.168.105.8:41952) then I can see the streams and play them using WMP
A typical URL (within TVersity looks like this: http://192.168.105.8:19081/xm?channel=84&format=asx
I notice is that the URL on the page on my BlackBerry is: http::41952/getres/2650/xm.wma - is this right?
Finally, I should note that I have installed this on two different Windows 7 machines and appear to have the same symptoms / problems.
What's driving me crazy is that on my XP installation, I don't recall having nearly this much hassle - I'm hoping that there is something obvious that I have missed...
Any help / pointers gratefully appreciated,
