Thumbs up for whoever came up with this for sopcast.
For anyone still having trouble, here is how I got it to work.
First standard procedure:
1 - Install Sopcast
2 - Install VideoLAN - VLC media player http://www.videolan.org
3 - Open SopCast and select the chanel. Wait sopcast show the channel
4 – Make shortcut for VLC and run it:
"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" http://192.168.11.3:8902 --sout "#duplicate{dst=std{access=mmsh,mux=asfh,dst=:1234}}"
[Use your program path for vlc. Use your own IP address that you get in (winxp); settings-network connections-local area connection-status-support: ie http://BBB.BBB.BB.B:8902]
5 - Go to TVersity press big + then 'Add Internet Media-Add Video URL', then insert mms://192.168.11.3:1234 under first option.
[Use your own IP address that you used in previous step: ie mms://BBB.BBB.BB.B:1234 ]
Now for me tversity must be correctly set or I’ll get ‘unsupported data’ in ps3 or not even see the link.. Here’s guide of how to set it:
1- Under setting-media library in TVersity ‘Media Libray Menus’ must be set to ‘default’. On ‘file system’ I don’t get to see video url. Didn’t figure how custom works jet, so that may work too.
2- Under settings-transcriber. It must be set on ‘always’ or I get unsupported format in PS3.
3- After you add Video URL into TVersity you MUST refresh media library. Under Advanced-Refresh Media Library. It takes some time, so don’t expect to work right away. Also If that don’t work try advanced-Recreate Media Library.
ps. one more thing that may save you some gray hair:
ps3 pauses video when you exit, so if you exit video feed and want to check something one ps-net-browser, or whatever. Returning into feed the normal way will NOT work. You will just have to 'play video from beginning' from triangle (i think) menu on the link.
