SiriusStreamer is now SiriusXMStreamer!

Postby TheEndless on Tue Dec 22, 2009 4:37 am

I am very proud to announce that, with the addition of XM Radio Online support, SiriusStreamer is now known as SiriusXMStreamer!

In addition to XM Radio support, a number of new features have been added to the application. Perhaps most notable is the addition of the new built-in media player with title updates!

Please visit the website (SiriusXMStreamer - Sirius|XM Internet Radio Stream Proxy) or use the "Check for updates" feature of the application to try out the new version.

I believe you need to use MMS/ASX with the XBox. Give that a try and let me know if it works.

EDIT: I should also add that I know a number of people have got it working with the XBox, so there's definitely some combination of settings that work.. ;)

no tried i think all combos and still cant get feeds to work I can get single channels to work with HTTP/M3U but then I'ld have to input all the url's into Tversity to get them on the xbox instead of having the one list of channels with a feed o and why with the new XM/Sirius one do I have to input everything everytime I use the program

That's weird. The feed is just a list of the same individual URLs that are working for you. Odd...

As for saving your settings, that shouldn't happen. Try right-clicking on the shortcut and choosing "Run as Administrator" and see if it saves your settings.

EDIT: Do you, by any chance, have the "Use TVersity for streams, playlists, and feeds" checkbox checked? If so, that's probably the problem. You should only check that if you need the stream to be transcoded, which shouldn't be the case with the XBox.

Cool. I should probably label that option a little better.

If you're using playlists or feeds, then you'd need that checkbox checked. If you're using individual channel URLs, then you can have the checkbox checked for the default URL to be a TVersity transcoding URL, or you can copy the TVersity URL via the context menu. I'll be writing up a number of FAQs to explain everything a little better when I get back from overseas. Sorry for the confusion...

I'm also very open to suggestions on how I can make the user interface more intuitive.

Can someone explain the default stream format. I have it working with http and asx selected. And then how do I get this to show up in TVersity? I'm very new to TVersity and have it working with a PS3. I'll keep searching the forum. I do like the SiriusXMStreamer better than the default page from Sirius. My system is Windows XP Media Center, I did get this working but only the first 18 channels are showing up. I did try options, refresh channel line up. Thanks in advance for any help.

By default, TVersity limits RSS feeds to the first 10 (I think) entries. Go to Settings->Internet Feeds and change the "Maximum number of items to show per feed" setting and see if that fixes your issue.

That looks like it took care of the issue, I re copied "the all channels url" and renamed it and now I'm seeing all the stations.
I used MMS and set TVersity feed manager to 0 (enter 0 for unlimited items per feed) I also set the next box Refreshing internet feeds to 150 that may be overkill? But Thanks my wife is now going to think I'm the new TechGuy as she can now access Sirius on our surround sound system, and everyone has to like almost commercial fee radio. Now if I could only find a way to get a iTunes playlist to show on TVersity.
