What am I missing? I want to delete these!
In the TVersity GUI got to video feeds then select the "TVersity Video Feed", click the DEL key and confirm the deletion. Let the deletion finish and go to the 360, all the Internet videos will be gone.

Thank's for all the work with the Xbox360 support. I've eagerly been watching the forums for weeks now.
However, I've found that vmware5+WinXPMCE+transcode360 works a lot better on my ancient AMD 1900XP than TVersity+xbox360patch does.

With vmware5+WinXPMCE+transcode360 I can get 640x480 without stuttering, but with TVersity+xbox360patch I can only get 400x300, and it looks like crap..

So, until I get a new computer, I'll use TVersity just for my music library. :(

With Transcode360 we had the luxury to use MPEG2 as the video codec we transcoded to... but as you know for dahsboard video MS only support WMV... which take at least 200% more CPU cycles to encode with.

This is why T360 was so nice and efficient!

Watching videos appears towork brilliantly except for one major flaw.

My videos end prematurly.. usually around 3-5 minutes to go and it ends.. doesnt matter if its a10 minute video or a 2 hour video.. 5 mins before the end it stops.

Also it doesnt seem to play audio with AC3 5.1.
I just get no audio.. the video plays ok.

Got it working but videos look very blocky and pixelated.
Is there any way to improve qaulity?
Thanks.

Part of the confusion is that previous posts mentioned going to "Library" tab to delete the video feeds. I wasn't able to delete anything from the "Library" tab, I had to go to the "Sharing" tab.

But this is my problem...nothing shows up in the "Sharing" tab. The internet video feeds aren't listed there for me to delete. They only way I can acess them is to go to the "Library" tab under videos. If I highlight something there (I can't "select" it without it opening the file/link) and then click on File above to choose delete it takes me back tot he "Sharing" tab. I've tried using the actual program and using the intranet interface, no-go. So either I am not understanding something really simple (quite possible!) or you are leaving something out of your instructions.

This is the known long URL problem, move your videos to a top level folder and they should work.

Yes, if your computer is fast enough you can go to the TVersity GUI, then select the settings tab, then select on the left side transcoder, then change the maximum video reslution from 400x300 to something like 640x480 or 640x360. Save this (button at the bottom of the page) and go to the 360, select some other file and try it (not one that was playing since it wil have no effect).

In the Sharing tab, you have a few buttons on the left side. When switching between them the content of the right side should change. Does it? If it does then when you select video feeds, the right side should show "TVersity Video Feed" just delete it.

If it does not work here is a command line workaround:
Go to start menu -> Programs TVersity > Tools -> Share media Command Prompt
In the black command window that opened type:
Code: Select all
MShare -U http://tversity.com/feeds/TVersityVideoFeed.xml

Xbox shows video but CPU load continues at 100%

Postby TubsDK on Wed Nov 22, 2006 2:05 pm

Hi there

I have tried the new Xbox 360 patch, but I have af few problems:

*The video has stranges lines in them (TVersity output is set to 640x480)

*Computer CPU load continues at 100% even when video playback from the Xbox has been switched off. (I have to use the task manager to kill the media server thread otherwise the computer stops responding)

Otherwise great work!

TVersity will finish the transcode that was started so that the result can be cached for later use. However if you start playing something else it will abandon the previous transcode, so if you just play any other video or audio that does not require transcode you will be able to stop it.

Future releases will pause the transcode for a while and if you resume watching it will resume transcoding, otherwise if you play something else it will abort (nobody has a fast enough computer to handle two transcodes at the same time).

Regarding the lines you mention, can you give us a screenshot or maybe copy the video created by TVersity in the data subfolder and send it to us (just a few seconds worth of it, do not let it run to the end).

I found that the strange lines (mainly on objects with edges at 45 degree angle and moving) are due to the 360 not doing a good job at scaling video. My solution was to force all 16:9 content to encode at 640x360 (1/2 720p res) and 4:3 to 640x480 via encode360. This is something, to my knowledge, TVersity does not do at this time.

Thank you! :D I'll try this when I get home from work. I'll message you if it doesn't work.
