The codec pack will probably enable TVersity to transcode the videos so they can be streamed, so just install it...

Not sure what's up. Do you have any videos that do work? I mean ones that are being transcoded by TVersity, not ones that would play off a USB stick on the PS3...

The USB would act the same as copying them.

I don't understand why your TVersity setup isn't transcoding those videos correctly. Try forcing transcoding on one of the videos that works, by adding a folder to your Library that's set to Always transcode then put a copy of a good video into it. I'm assuming that since it works without transcoding the codec is different than the ones with which you have trouble, and this test might show something.

By the way, is the file extension on the good videos the same as the bad?...

But it did work.

SO, if a bad video placed in the same folder still fails, you need to do something about your setup. Perhaps you don't have all the codecs in ffdshow turned on, or now the k-lite you installed. Use the Start menu to play with the settings and see what happens...

This is how you learn. Go to the Start menu and locate the ffdshow entry. Use the video decoder configuration panel and find the codecs tab, at the top I believe. Enable everything, usually with the libavcodec option if available. Then see how you do the same thing for k-lite, unless k-lite just installs ffdshow to do everything anyway.

Once you have everything turned on, try again to transcode...
