New Direct TV user

Postby madddogg » Tue Aug 24, 2010 4:42 pm

I have been using TVersity to stream to the Wii for awhile. Just got DirectTV service. Have the whole home DVR and have both receivers setup to the internet. I have been able to play my avi files on both the HDDVR and HD receiver for about a week. Last night tried to play a file on the DVR and the video is fine but the audio is out of sync. The same file will play fine on the other receiver. I am using the default settings except for speed whiuch is set to wired 100Mbs. I also have the CCCP codec package installed.

I forget why transcoding would cause sync loss. I have seen it here while converting, but usually only after the original was deleted so I end up starting over. Not sure what to do, except TRY converting to a codec that won't need to be transcoded anymore and hope the sync survives during the process. Super is a free tool to try the conversion...

I got a response on the DirectTV forums. The responder claims the issue is with the DVR (HDR24/500) and a software update. I'm assuming it is with the DVR and not TVersity as the TVersity works fine on the non DVR receiver (HD24/100).

New software installed on the HR24-500 DVR has fixed the sync issue with my avi files. I'm still using 1.7.4 version of TVersity. Has anyone upgraded to 1.9 after getting the new siftware?
