More DSM-510 Connection Issues

I've been in and out of this forum since I bought the 510 about a year ago. I have always had problems with this device and have never got it running properly.

I have the latest Tversity, the latest firmware etc. I'm running Vista on a Dell XPS laptop with 4Gig. The DSM 510 is connect to my HD TV with an HDMI lead.

I know that axxo movies will only play if I force the Trancode option, which is fine. Everything else works with the profiles that were installed with the latest version.

My problem is getting the DSM 510 to connect and stay connected. I have had the server start automatically and sometimes the DSM-510 will connect when I switch it on, but mostly I have to restart the server and then the DSM 510.

Once connected I regularly get a server not responding, even although the server is still running, and everyting is greyed out and then I have to restart the DSM510 again.

If I can not get this working properly I think its time to sell?

The only other thing I have done is to increase the priority of the process Mediaserver.exe

Did anyone have any answers for this question in the end? I'm experiencing the same problems with a just bought DSM-510 also... and I too am considering replacing with something more reliable also...
